General Home Inspections
Home inspections are visual examinations of a house and property. When performed by our qualified professionals, they include a thorough visual inspection of the structure inside and out, from foundation to roof. Such examination covers all major systems, an objective evaluation of the condition of more than 400 items and a printed report of all findings and potential concerns.
Our professional and knowledgeable home inspectors can make you feel far more secure about your purchase or selling decision.
CAHPI Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors – www.cahpi.ca – Our inspectors currently follow the Standards of Practice of CAHPI. Currently Service Alberta is working on new standards for home inspections which will be adopted when available.
Commercial Building Inspections
This includes inspections of apartment complexes of up to 10 units, as well as motels, office buildings, retail stores and warehouses. The inspection evaluates the major systems of the property and the visible structural components; it also catalogues the type and condition of HVAC equipment.
Infrared Inspections
Thermal imaging can help reveal problems concerning moisture (which could lead to mold and rot), electrical system hot spots, deficient insulation, deficient heat/AC and duct systems, structural issues, plumbing leaks, roof leaks and more.
Energy Evaluations
This inspection will determine the major areas of energy use and waste in your home. The Energy Evaluation will suggest steps which could save you hundreds of dollars annually in utilities and help you do your part in protecting the environment.
Spa Inspections
This review includes a visual examination of a spa installation. We will inspect the spa equipment and electrical supply. The equipment is operated and then checked visually for leakage and functionality. The spa cannot be tested unless the tub is accessible and full of water.
Septic Testing
Done mostly in rural areas, the system is evaluated for evidence of above ground septic breakout and the tank is checked for solid waste levels. Without a test, clear failure of the septic system is the only evidence of problems as most components are underground.
